HAITI, WHAT WILL YOU DO?
W.W.J.D. produces and hosts radio program
aired LIVE at 3:30-4pm CST
Monday or Tuesdays (every other week it's on the other day of the week)
THE GOALS OF THIS LIVE RADIO PROGRAM:
(1) Proclaiming the general need to help Haiti:
W.W.J.D. is promoting that helping Haiti is for everyone who calls on the name of our LORD. We are called by our faith do something to help the Haitian peoples -because they are our brother in need, and because their need is too near us and too great to ignore when you consider our Lord's words: "When you have done it unto the least of these you have done it unto Me"
Therefore, W.W.J.D. together with the Non-Profits that are interviewed on the air are offering the listeners a means to meet their Christian responsibility to help Haiti.
(2) Proclaiming the specific need for Respite Care near Haiti, yet away from there:
W.W.J.D. is making the statement that the need for Respite Care near, yet off the island of Haiti is essential. W.W.J.D.'s "MISSION" is to: "Help the HELPERS" with this Respite Care need. Our mission may change and further develop as we go along but, for now, our goal and efforts for Haiti will be focused in this manner.
The idea is that Post Traumatic Stress could possibly be avoided, or at the least, lessened, by some time to relax, reflect, and with godly counsel: debrief, before returning to a regular and often busy routine.
Also, the time off of Haiti I believe could be shortened and workers could return quicker with less expense if they had Respite Care on a separate, but near-by, island in a godly and relaxing counseling atmosphere before returning to work in Haiti again.
W.W.J.D. is offering listeners an on the air live experience as to how much these Helpers: while risking their lives to help others in Haiti; in fact, need assistance themselves. W.W.J.D. is offering a way to meet this need by providing this Respite Care for the Helpers of Haiti on an island nearby. This is also done through live on the air interviews with those who have just returned form the work in or near Haiti.
(3) Proclaiming that supplies need to be channeled to Haiti.
When people are dropped off or picked up, needed supplies could be traveling with them. The government of the island chain where our W.W.J.D. is to be soon set up, is friendly and cooperative, which would aid in this.
W.W.J.D. is actively interviewing Non-Profits that will agree to cooperate together with us to channel such supplies; such as, for example: PROCLAIMERS from Faith Comes By Hearing that will be traveling to Haiti via our island stop.
